Why the Hate – Blog 2 (Frank)

Okay, so Jalen Hurts was listed as a top 100 influencer by Times magazine today. As incredible that is, you know what happened. All the Hurts Hatters came out of the woodwork once again….Are these people just ignorant of what made him not only a champion in the NFL, but a champion in life.

This man, as young as he is, has made such an impact on and off the field. Lets leave the on field stuff alone for a minute. Its as obvious as can be the mans fortitude and dedication makes him a great example to everyone in life, let alone football. You have a guy who just works endlessly to better himself and everything around him.

Take notice as this is a warning to all you hatters: Jalen Hurts is not going away. He IS the next big thing. As the Jordan brand says LOVE, HURTS. You know what this means people? Its not just a play on words, it implies that the doubters and hatters who questioned Jalen Hurts are now experiencing the painful reality of his success and influence.

Speaking of those influences – Hurts is a HUGE advocate for women in sports and is one of the few that employs an ALL-FEMALE management team, in a male dominated genre. The past two years, Hurts has provided air conditioning units to schools with his Keep it Cool Initiative; He has the School Supply Closets where his foundation replenishes school supply closets to underserved schools; His foundation mentors middle school youth and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His foundation uses its platform to raise awareness about women’s empowerment and to better our students.

To say this Hurts is not warranted to be on that list is just foolish. His dedication and work ethic alone deserves all the respect in the world, but his influence in the community, the students and women empowerment should be applauded and not ripped apart as the hatters love to do.

Applaud one of our own people! He brought us a championship, got us there twice in three years, and more importantly he is bringing hope to all those he impacts by his example and his foundation.
