Bryce’s Buzz – Blog 18 (Nick)

Since getting a buzz cut, Bryce Harper has shaken off his month long funk, and is playing like the best player in baseball again. In the last 9 games, he’s recorded 15 hits in 32 AB, including 4 doubles, a home run and 9 RBI. He’s posted averages of .469, .625 SLG, and .553 OBP.
If we can recall, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni buzzed his head shortly after receiving criticism earlier in the NFL season, when the birds started off rocky at 2-2. Fans were questioning his leadership and ability to have a positive influence on the guys in the locker room. Since then, he’s led his team to their second Super Bowl in 8 years. Also, just this week he earned himself a multi-year contract extension to stay in Philly. Not to say that us Philly fans are superstitious, but are noticing a trend? Or simply over thinking this?
It is interesting to see the rise in performance for the 2-time MVP First Baseman.
If this does the trick for Harper and the Phils then we will have to make sure his pr team schedules his next chop in October just in time before the playoffs.
