Thank you football gods for the Raiders coming to town and allowing the Philadelphia Eagles to find themselves once again. The play calling was good and fluid. Hurts ran the ball when needed. The defense played lights out. It was a very efficient game, and I applauded them post game.
Like I said in the past – this town has gotten spoiled. The NFL is a grind. You have to figure it out at the end of the season. This way, you can make a nice playoff run. I saw some nice things today and just little stuff that just quiets the outside noise. Again, last week was not the norm. There was a dropped catch, a holding play, and a missed kick. If any one of those didn’t happen, we would have beaten the chargers. Lets move ahead nonetheless.
Today did any of you notice that whenever Calcaterra was in the game it was a running play. He missed everyone of his blocks too. If they are going to have a blocking TE to help the OL they need to make sure he blocks! Also I have been saying this since we got him, but please more Tank. The guy runs hard and remember he was slated to be the Jaguars number 1 RB this year by most. He is a solid runner and he just brings juice into the game.
Yes I already heard the nay sayers hence the title of the article. We just have to accept that people just don’t like Hurts – for whatever dumb reason they have. The guy came out and balled today. People are going to say the shovel pass was why his stats were padded. SHUT UP!!
Also did you notice 11 come up to 1 after his TD and gave him a big hug and smile. Also how 88 rebounded from a tough drop. The guys really did what they needed to today and you have to give them credit. They were supposed to dominate and they did, and this year not much has gone how it was supposed to.
