10 – 5, NFL EAST CHAMPIONS! Great job to the Philadelphia Eagles of being the first repeat division winner in 21 years.

We are so spoiled with this team that this feat seems meaningless. I don’t and here is why. This team could have fallen apart so many times this season. The scheme wasn’t working; injuries on the line causing problems; ball not being spread around enough; routes were to simple; excution was off. So many issues this year, but the team has keeped its head down and worked its way out to a divsion championship.

I am told that thier shirt and hat victory and celebrations were very subdued, as well they should. However thats the reason I believe in this team. They know what its going to take to repeat as world champions, and thats the only repeat they care about.

I don’t make excuses, bucause the poor play was the reason they have the 5 losses, but true fans can see there has been a change in how the team looks. Over the past month you can see it, and even if the wins weren’t there for whatever reasons, you can see they have a different mind set.

Just to throw some stats at you;

Offensively there is a strong possibility that they have RB and BOTH WR over 1000 yards. That has only happened once in their history which was back in 2022 season.

Defensively they just keep getting better and better. 55 has found new life as a DT, Carter is coming back soon from both shoulder injuries that limited him in the Bears game. The only scare they had was Dean coming out yesterday due to a hamstring strain. However, he seemed ok after the game.

Nakobe just makes this D play angrier. He is the identity of how Fangio wants this defense to play. I know people will say look who they played. Hey, they can’t control the schedule, but they dominated who they were supposed to. Even in the 3 straight losses you saw things that affected the outcome.

So, I know we as fans have been spoiled. We complain if they don’t play a certain way, or it doesn’t look the way we want. They are the 3 seed with a strong chance of the 2 seed, which means dome teams coming to Philly. I really like the way this is heading. How about you?
