The Hidden Moves: Howie Roseman’s Offseason Deals

I know, he said no big splashes this off season. I know the AJ thing is everywhere. I also know this is Howie Roseman. The man just loves making deals.

You hear on the radio – “oh the Eagles are heading into a downfall”. Sorry I don’t see it. This team has so much talent that its over flowing.

They wouldn’t put so much time into restructuring the offense if they didn’t believe in their talent. They know they have the talent to win. Which brings us back to AJ Brown. I personally don’t see him leaving. I think he has some explaining to do because we all saw that last game against the 49ers. Is he he still suffering from a nagging injury, I believe he is. From the outside looking in, it seemed his frustrations were that plays were not being developed to improve the talent. Not that he wasn’t getting the ball. With the plethora of new coaches with new schemes I can’t imagine this offense being dull going ahead.

Then the big splash comment. See I see extending Jalen Carter as a big splash. Somehow being capable of bringing back Nakobi Dean as a big splash. This are huge moves. Bringing in Max Crosby now that’s a dream. That’s a deal only Howie make. He is creative with the behind-the-scenes cases. It doesn’t hurt the team.

Vic Fangio was thinking about retirement after this past season. You don’t think Howie promised to bring in certain guys to entice him to come back for one more season. It is through free agency, signing our own, or via trade. He had to, why would Vic come back if he knew he was getting a lesser talented roster for 2026.

Some crazy stuff is going to happen starting next week. I don’t think the Free Agency pool is that deep so look for trades and resigning. The cap went up. Lurie pays up front. We have a new offensive staff. They are all disciples of offensive gurus and the godfather of Defensive Coordinators. Something big is going to happen – maybe not a splash – but a typhoon!!!
