The 76ers and Flyers were out literally one day and the Hurts bashing began again by local talk show host who can’t create content and need to bring up the only thing they know how to discuss. I am a huge Hurts fan, as I have written about it many times over. Just remember 1960 thru 2017, then say to yourself do I want an elite QB or a QB that wins this city Superbowl’s. I think the answer is quite clear.
Sometime in early June AJ Brown will be traded. I love the player but I can’t love him if he doesn’t want to be on our team. Sorry, I route for the name on the front of the jerseys not the ones on the back. I hated Hershel Walker, loved him and hated him again. I disliked Reggie White when he said God told him to go to Green Bay. There has only been one Philadelphia Eagles player who I cared about once they left this team and it wasn’t his fault. Brian Dawkins bleeds this city and the Phildelphia Eagles messed that up so bad that all of those involved have pretty much said so and apologized for it.
One thing i won’t do is apologize for Jalen Hurts not being a top 3 QB in the NFL. He doesn’t need to be. If he wins us another Superbowl what else can you ask from him. He wins, is he perfect, no, but are you? Absolutely not. AJ will be traded and once again its all going to come on Jalen Hurts. Unfairly as that is lets discuss.
One player states how much he wants to win and doesn’t care how they win. The same player says if they are not the last team to win at the end of the year, its not a successful year. Same player doesn’t care about personal statistics or acolades, he just wants to win.
The second player has stated that he doesn’t care about winning now that he has won a SB. He wants to be in the HOF and needs to go somewhere that he can be the main target and dominate as he knows he can. Its not about winning, its about playing for himself so he can punch his ticket in the HOF.
Which player would you rather have? Im going with player one.
Another thing I want to bring up. When Offensive Coordinators get promoted its always because they had an incredible year designing an offenses that is unique and puts wins in the win column. QB1 has had a new OC every year in college and his player career. Why do you think so? Because he did what was expected out of him and made that offense look so good. What did these former OC’s do without Jalen Hurts. I don’t see any Superbowl’s or National Championships.
You can make the narrative say whatever you want to, but the facts and stats don’t lie. The only stat that matters in any sport is how many championships did you win. The man went to two, should have won two, but he’ll get more. When he does, we all got receipts….
Oh, and last thing – AJ you were great, but your lasting impression with Philly is you dropping three balls in the playoffs, and then never speaking about it to anyone.
